Niv mizzet 2.0 doesn't do enough damage outside of a straight blue/red deck. I don't need mind spring, i have blue sun's zenith. I know you put a star by interpret the signs too, but i just don't think i have enough 7+ cost cards (the amount necessary to net positive mana off the spell). It may not net mana off of kydele, but it doesn't take a spell slot. Stronghold machinist reminds me of Ertai, Wizard Adept, he may be relevant too.ĭesolate lighthouse forgot about this too.
Is soratami seer really that bad? I have so many extra land drop effects i thought it was all upside since it makes my wheels larger. But it's definitely one of the weaker cards. Spawnsire was chosen as a mana holding tank. Heck, and to everyone else in the world to, even if you don't celebrate it. Thank you so much and Happy Thanksgiving to everybody in the US. The deck LOOKS a little non-creature spell heavy, but I've never tried to make a deck that does what this one is doing so I don't know if my ratio of creatures to non-creatures is actually off or not. The average cmc is ~4.38 and so I'd like most cuts from cmc 5 and up. I've made a couple passes at the deck, and I'm almost to a viable first draft (first draft being a deck that's only 100 cards), but I'm having a little trouble cutting the last couple cards. The other thing that playing with wheels does is give me the chance to play with a form of ramp that I'm not used to seeing much of: extra land drops. Incidentally Wheel of Fortune like effects are really efficient at getting card draws for mana cost and they have the added bonus of simultaneously messing with everyone elses' hands. The idea is to to draw as many cards as possible every turn to get as much mana as I can out of Kydele. Vial Smasher the Fierce is here solely for providing colors (although I suppose it's technically possible she could kill someone off a giant Blue Sun's Zenith).
